Intraoral Cameras
Our intraoral camera is a small, handheld device with a camera at the end of it that we can use to magnify and more thoroughly examine problem-areas of your mouth. Some issues, like cavities between the teeth, can be hard to spot, even with the trained eye of a professional like Dr. Hegazi. As we maneuver the wand around your mouth, we can see a clearer picture, which will lead to an accurate diagnosis and treatment to keep your oral health in tip-top shape. The footage will also be available for you to see on a large, chairside monitor, which we can use as a resource to explain the issue and how we plan to treat it.
All-Digital X-Rays
In the past, X-rays would be taken using film technology that would take awhile to develop and use chemicals that were harmful to the environment. Today, Dr. Hegazi uses all-digital X-rays that are clearer, faster, and easy to transfer and store due to the fact that they’re digital files. In addition to all of these benefits, they also reduce radiation exposure by up to 90 percent, making them completely safe for children and adults.
